Fair housing month celebrates the Fair Housing Act of 1968 which prohibited discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing. This law prohibited discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender, people with disabilities, and families with children.

Fair Housing Month is here to remind us that housing is not only a state and national law but a human right.

Chapmanville expresses our support by making the proclamation of Fair Housing Month.
